Two TNI Officers Graduate from Defense and Strategic Studies Course in China


SUARA NEGERI | JAKARTA — Two officers of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) have successfully graduated from the Defense and Strategic Studies Course (DSSC) organized by the National Defense University (NDU) of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in Beijing, China. 

The graduation ceremony took place on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, marking the completion of the program by a total of 157 participants from various countries.

The TNI was represented by Colonel Arm Yuniar Dwi Hantono, S.Sos., M.Si., currently serving as Chief of Staff of the 152/Babullah Military Command, XV/Pattimura Military Command, and Marine Colonel Yustinus R., M.Tr.(Han), who serves as Paban I Lid Sintel Kogabwilhan III. 

Their participation is part of TNI’s strategic initiative to strengthen leadership capacity, expand strategic insight, and enhance international cooperation in the defense and security sector.

The DSSC program ran from September 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025, and is equivalent to Indonesia's Sesko TNI. Classes were conducted in multiple languages—English, French, Russian, and Spanish—accommodating participants from various regions around the world.

In addition to receiving graduation certificates from the NDU PLA, both TNI officers were awarded a Certificate of Participation in Leadership Science and Strategic Management from the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University.

This accomplishment underlines the TNI’s commitment to developing world-class military professionals and supports Indonesia’s ongoing defense diplomacy. It reflects Indonesia’s active, adaptive, and globally engaged approach in addressing regional and international security dynamics. (*)
