SUARA NEGERI | JAKARTA — TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto received Courtesy Calls (CC) from military officials of friendly nations, starting with the Commander of the Royal Saudi Arabian Armed Forces, Air Chief Marshal Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, followed by the Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Forces, Brigadier General Kyomars Heydari Panghaleh.
As part of the CC series during Indo Defense, the TNI Commander also met with the Vice Chief of the Defense Forces Headquarters of Timor-Leste, General Calisto Santos Coli; the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, General Mak Sarun; and the Deputy Commander of the United Nations Command Canada, Lieutenant General Derek Macaulay, in the afternoon at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Thursday, June 12, 2025.
The TNI Commander warmly welcomed the arrival of military officials from friendly nations, saying, "I extend a warm welcome to Indonesia and thank you for taking the time to meet with me amidst the activities of the Indo Defense Expo and Forum 2024," stated the TNI Commander.
Indo Defense 2024 also serves as a platform for developing military cooperation, "The TNI is highly committed to enhancing military cooperation, joint exercises, and programs to improve soldiers' capabilities," explained the TNI Commander.
Productive discussions during today's meeting aim to continue improving interaction, collaboration, cooperation, and diplomacy between the TNI and the armed forces of friendly nations to maintain global peace and stability, in line with the theme of the Indo Defence 2024 Expo & Forum: "Defense Partnerships for Global Peace and Stability."
