Islamic Women's Organization Holds 'One Million Women for Gaza' Action July 6, 2025

SUARA NEGERI | JAKARTA — The Central Leadership of Islamic Women, rejects all forms of normalization and economic support for entities or companies that directly or indirectly support Israeli occupation.
This was conveyed by the General Chairperson of the Central Leadership of Islamic Women, Dra. Hj. Marfuah Musthofa, M.Pd, in a Press Conference, the implementation of the Peaceful Action to Defend Palestine "One Million Women for Gaza", at Swiss Bel inn Cawang, Jakarta, on Thursday (3/7) afternoon.
"Therefore, we fully support the movement to boycott pro-Israel products, as a form of civil pressure to stop the aggression against the Palestinian people," she said.
In the press conference attended by Ustadzah Neno Warisman, and the President of the All Indonesia Trade Union Association (ASPIRASI) Mirah Sumirat, SE, PP Wanita Islam plans to hold a Peaceful Action to Defend Palestine "One Million Women for Gaza" at the Jakarta Horse Statue and continue with a Long March to the American Embassy, on July 6, 2025.
She said that the action was also a form of support for strengthening the women's economy, local products, especially halal MSMEs as an ethical and dignified alternative in building economic sovereignty.
"Regarding this, we will actively campaign for the #GantiProduk campaign and support consumer education on local alternatives that are fair, halal, and empowering," she said.
Marfuah emphasized that PP Wanita Islam will continue to voice justice for Palestine in various public spaces, both physical and digital, peacefully and consistently.
"This is to encourage the Indonesian government to be more assertive and active in international forums in supporting Palestinian independence and severing ties with companies that support Zionism," she concluded. (R/01)
